Cripple Creek Candles is a small family business owned and operated by John and Diesa Anderson. We started our business in 2004, several years after my wife was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This disease caused her so much pain that she could no longer have a normal day to day life and work the 8 hours a day that most employers require. She had always wanted to have a candle shop and work for herself, so we decided that we would make her dream come true and opened Cripple Creek Candles.
We realized that the great thing about having a small business and working for yourself is that on the good days she could work at perfecting her craft and on the bad days, when a disease like fibromyalgia flares up, she could take the day off and rest. I work my "day job" as a Clinical Laboratory Manager, and in the evenings or when Diesa is having a bad day, I make wickless candles.
We are committed to making the best wickless candles that your hard earned money can buy. We decided to sell wickless candles in 2004 because of the fire and health issues that are associated with wicked candles.
We also wanted to sell candles with an amazing scent or fragrance throw and by going wickless we did that and more. We put over 2˝ ounces of fragrance oil in each pound of wax that we use to make our wickless candles. This is impossible to do with a regular wicked candle, since that much fragrance oil would clog the wick and cause the candle to smoke and soot, or even worse, just plain not burn.
We guarantee you will not find a candle that has a better scent throw than our wickless candles.
